Most underated dub album?

Post by Punxsta »

My vote goes for Heavy Metal dub by scientist. No one else seems to rate this album.

Most overrated? I know people might slate me but 'meets rockers uptown' IS overrated. I know it's brilliant. But that doesn't mean it's not overrated.

Punxsta.

Maybe not underrated but these are at least under-represented:

This is the most underrated dub LP in the world:

[cover=1961,2317]

It happens to be a masterpiece of real old dub. Can't understand why people pass on it, maybe the BB SEaton connection pulls it down? People are expecting a bunch of Reggay love songs maybe??

Perhaps it because how scarce it is. Fantastic dub album with some really great african and jazz vibes in it.

I rate the CRY TUFF DUB ENCOUNTER series by PRINCE FAR I highly ..
I think most "Archivers" would too,
but I rarely hear these albums talked about when this topic comes up.
So they are underated ?....I guess so.

This is not underrated, considering the price it goes for on ebay. And definitely a masterpiece. BB Seaton made a repress few years ago on his Soul Beat label.

What price? I tried to sell an excellent spare copy of this LP on eBay earlier this year and struggled to make twenty UK pounds on it (having previously failed to shift it at with a 29.99 buy it now offer!).

It is fairly scarce so should fetch more like 80 -90 considering it's quality. With admittedly good dub Lps like Mawamba Dub fetching over 100 for a EX copy I would have expected more for my copy of Gun Court Dub.
