reggae in india
in katz,s book about reggae, an oral history, cocoa tea is quoted as saying that due to the sheer positivity of the reggae message, no matter where you go in the world, people love the vibe of reggae. in the last year ive been to georgia and india, and in batumi, opposite my guest house, a massive mural of marley surrounded by ganja leaf, withjamaica written below..in india, the cafe next to the dalai lamas abode, plays dub and roots all day long!!big them boys up, y,all!!!

Re: reggae in india
I traveled India around 10 years ago. On a 12 hrs bus ride to Jaipur the driver asked me for some music. I gave him a Marley tape. Before that everyone on the bus was chatting loud. After a short while, they carefully listened to what Bob had to say. No more chat chat. Some passengers asked me about the music they had never listened to before. They loved it.
Driving through Deli by Tuc Tuc taxi is sth. special:-)) Some drivers have sound systems on board. I remember a driver played my Don Carlos tape Raving Tonight at high volume which was great fun.

You have a wicked sense of humour.
Perhaps their is more than one Sean.
Who knows, he might be a Siamese twin.
