"A great documentary produced by a group of young film makers in London . The film was made over a four week period as part of a summer research project, 10 black youngsters aged between 12 and 17 carried out extensive research and were trained in website technology and film making. At the end of their project they produced their own website, a CD rom and a ground breaking documentary, all of this was made possible by Dr Lez Henry, Director of NuBeyond, historian and former dancehall deejay, who setup the project. The results are inspiring, they interview lots of the old UK sound system artists including people like: Maxi Priest, Papa Levi, Tippa Irie, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Dennis Bovell, Macca B, D.Rowe, Muscle Head, Papa Benji, Asher Senator, Lorna Gee, Robert Allen, Mickey Simpson, Papa Levi, Top Cat, Tenor Fly, Suster Audrey, Tony Ruff Cut, Sir Lloyd, Blacker Dread,Dirty desi, Masai, Mykaell Riley, Johnny T, Cinderella, Hugh Francis, Percy Diamonds, Mikey Spratt, Poleon, Dr.Vibes, Rey Bowen and Lezlee Lyrix."

Theres also a great new book called "what the DJ Said" all about reggae+sound systems available from:

I would of added some pictures but seems that this forum doesn't allow [img] tags for photos....(would be nice to get that fixed)

If u get any probs contacting nubeyond just drop me a email.

There is an interview with William "Lez" Henry in the latest issue of the "Woofah"-zine. One of the more interesting interviews in the zine, in my opinion.
