for prices check www.popsike.com
The Give Thanks / Shy Girl 12 inch is an absolute killer. Worth any money. Especially the Shy Girl track. I played it at my last DJ set.
The other two I don't know. But I'd like to get a listen to the Ranking Trevor cut.

yeh the shy girl is a killa,
also available:
Ovation - Forever Love 12" (Rockers Vibration DATCLP04)
Roots Radics - Isarina DUB(DATC) (Version of Shy Girl)
Both these above well worth getting especialy the roots radics version, pure killa tune.
Secret Admirer is one of my favourites but is nothing like shy girl, this tune brings back lots of memories for me.
While trying to find more by the ovations over the years i came across at least 2 other bands by the same name, one was a soul group from the US.

PISCES: the DATC 12"s are probably more SOUGHT AFTER but the other two George wright/ovation discos you mention are killers - love 'em both!!
People tend to pass on these and they are crucial, the "Secret Admirer" also comes on a Thunderbolt 12" and it gives credit to the DJ cut "Peel me orange" that follows the George wright tune on both presses (can't think of his name right now). ADam

The release of George Wright, The Ovations - Secret Admirer issued from Thunder Bolt (Matrix # OTH002) has Jessi James - Peel Me Orange DJ'ing the extended version.bwoyrough wrote:yeh the shy girl is a killa,

You can also find George Wright - Secret Admirer available on Ossie Music 7" (Matrix #OM32). Both are rather good quality JA pressings.

Is that you Alonso? whassup?
I thought the Ossie Music 7" press actually sounded like a copy of the master...maybe it was the press I had. The thinderbolt is good (for JA quality), But the Live & Love UK Press is immaculate (as usual).

What I meant was, a (bad) copy of (a copy of) the Master...AKA a bunk repress...jahadambom wrote: I thought the Ossie Music 7" press actually sounded like a copy of the master...maybe it was the press I had. .
