any recomendations for the bullwackies label???
i was wondering if anybody had some recomendations for the bullwackies label, i have recently got into early 80s roots music, i have been partial to the mid 70s for years but am now wanting to broaden my selection. the reason i mentioned bullwackies is because music from that label i dont hear very often, but the stuff i have heard is crucial.

Jamaican Super Dub, Dub Generals, and Nature's Dub are all choice picks. African Roots Vol. 1-4 are also Wackies essentials.

Mute Beat - Still Echo... What a strange ting it is... Japanese horns players coming at the Wackies studio in the 80s to record a full Horns-Reggae album...
It has never been repressed as far as I remember... but the horns are really wicked... Not the kind of sound you would expect outta Wackies though!

Collect the 12 inch 45s also as they are often murderous. The great thing here is that many are available as cheap Wackies.de re-issues - and while they are cheap, they are very well produced. Mastered from original tapes maybe?
