Very nice man Carlton Jackson. I have met him once. A friend of mine organized a tour with him and Pinchers throughout Europe in the early nineties. Carlton Coffee and Carlton Jackson are not the same persons. Carlton Coffee has been lead singer with the Inner Circle.

Around that time, Jackson produced a various artists album once with Coco Tea, Pinchers and Willie Williams (Soul Syndicate, Roots Radics & Cedric Brooks). It was not really a succesfull, I believe. The History track produced by the upsetter is excellent stuf and can be found on the "Open the Gate" upsetter disco mix collection released by Trojan.

There are two essential versions of History (of Captivity) on 7" >

History - Carlton Jackson
(Black Art)
producer
Lee Perry

History Of Captivity - Carlton Jackson
(Ital International)
producer
Lee Perry & Carlton Jackson

The Ital International issue has a 'softer' mix than the Black Art one.

The reissued Black Art copy has an edited dub version (only 2min30) which was obviously taken from the 12" mix.
The Ital Int. copy has a full dub version on the flipside and much better imo.
