looking for similar albums like this

hey I just bought that message from africa album

I would like to know similar albums like that. I would describe this album as mystical, deep and very dark.

hi lionkall

[cover=3358,3615]
...get immediately **jah works** from **vivian jones** and let me know !!!

unfortuantely i have experimented that all shaka recent reissues have a low output volume so it would be great to collect only originals from that label...i warned u !! ;)
...sorry for my average english !! ;P

There is a "sequel" to that album, called "Hits from the House of Jah Shaka - The Message 2" - http://shaka.reggaeclub.org/hitsfromthehouse.html Despite the 1987 release date, it's all real instrumental riddims.

Also "Commandments of Dub Part 2" has extra dubs to the songs on "Message from Africa", and is one of my favorite dub albums of all time.

You should check :

King's Music and Revelation Songs on the Shaka Label, both great releases.

Hi Lioncall.

If you like "Message From Africa", then you will definately like Junior Brown and Jah Shaka "Fly Me Away Home"

Also on Jah Shaka label from around the same time and in similar style are Twinkle Brothers - The Right Way and Jah Shaka meets (Sgt) Pepper at Addis Ababa Studios. Both are tuff albums!
