In your deepest Meditation...

What images does your favorite reggae tunes put into your head. I know many think of being on an island or beach setting but I'm interested to know if anyone has any alternatives. Personally in my deepest meditations with deep dread reggae rough, dark, depths of the sea come to mind. Similar to giant waves smashing the hull of a slave ship heading towards the americas. any other suggestions?

Personnaly, Ive really no figurated image... I keep nothing of my physical senses except the sound and totally disconnect my mind from earth reality... And get into deep great feelings. I usually prefer to be alone, cause my body and my face in particular, express somethig too strong and intimate...

I appreciate your comments but maybe i should simplify the question. What visuals if any come to your mind the most when you think of reggae?

When I listen to Pablo I often see myself sitting on a jungle hill - maybe in JA - looking into the valley. Sun is shining, breeze is blowing and there`s a smell of fresh nature. It is a very peaceful feeling.

When our band met ina studio for rehearsal I often imagined the songs as landsscapes. The feelings I got I directly expressed in my lead guitar playing.

Mine is i transform in a Lion.The snare. bass. strings & horns are like birds that catch my attention.Many times i hang out at the beach looking at the waves feeling one with the nature

Once I had this vision, clear right to the point of frightening, yet I could find rejoicing in it, for it was a vision of triumph. Triumph of JAH army over all wickedness...

I was listening very closely to Upsetters' Super Ape, specifically the tune "Dread Lion".

Suddenly everything else faded away, and I was beholding a vast, immense army, blacker than black. So black, that only the outlines of it could be seen. It was moving through an enormous, dark valley, and it was flowing all manners of gigantic banners and flags of Ites, Gold & Green, flowing them high over the souljah's heads. The shades of the colours on the banners & flags were ominously dark. The army was moving very slowly, yet ever so steadily. On each DROP (of the song) the whole army moved as one, as one beat in one harmony. It truly was a sight to see the whole army stepping as one, just like it was a marvel to I ears to hear the BOOM of the dropping of every footstep simultaneously.

The whole vision was at the same time dreadful and, somehow, soothingly reassuring.

Truly, JAH army can never be stopped. And just like the steady rhythm of a cunning player of drums, it can never, ever, be even _hindered_.

This music take me out of the system... I forget all the babylon problems... This music bring me in a place where love is too strong... a place where the badness doesen't exist... where everybody respect everybody...

what a beautiful place...
