Re: BOB MARLEY MOVIE
I think we've had this thread already.
But since the last time I've actually seen the film 'Ray' with Foxx as Ray Charles. He was very good in that film. And the film itself was excellent.
As we said before, the film will make or break on the accuracu of the script (or the lack of Hollywood treatment it receives)
And the director is the hub of any film. On him, or her the quality film depends.
I find most modern films depressingly poor. Because they relay too much on junky TV style cinematography.
Like micro-second camera shots, where one short scene will have about two hundred changes of camera frame or angle. Too many cheesy effects (like freeze framing a shot accompanied by a silly 'shhhwiish' noise) Or incorrect or over use of slo-mo.
Too few films rely on artistry, good photography and strong scripts.
Let's hope this one tells the true story and is made with artistry and not effects. And doesn't loose the grit that must accompany any life story of this man.

Good ! Jamie Fox playing Bob Marley would be a big mistake, there are Latinos that could pull it off better then Jamie, visually anyway. Elijah Emanuel should play this role.bwoyrough wrote:Jamie Foxx denied he will be playing the part when asked last year......

I have read an interview in a "reggae musique & culture" magazine where ziggy marley said that he was not agree for a movie about his father.
And if it has to be, it will be difficult to negociate.
Maybe he has change his opinion but I don't think s
