i roy was a toaster who did his lyrics over dubs, but i wouldn't call him a dub creator. u-roy and big youth are also old school toasters. all are good but my personal preference is i roy by far. very smooth, little repetition, the man could change the tempo and still be quick like lightning. conscious! go for i roy. i really like i roy at king tubby's. gussie presents is good too.
the aggrovators- get whatever you can, they were a killer backing band. by all means, get some and play it loud.

Aggrovators is more roots dubs and Shaka is more UK style dubs. Both are pretty good though some Shaka stuff is not very interesting to me.
Others are DJs, my favorites are U Roy and I Roy, hard to make a choice between those two, maybe I Roy (all his work is worth listening to). Both use mainly well known rocksteady and roots tunes (Heptones, Ken Boothe, Gladiators, Horace Andy etc..). Tappa Zukie and Big Youth use roots material. Tappa Zukie must be the one who use the deepest riddims, the more obscure too. If you're not used to toasting, U Roy is good to begin and get used to this style.
And Tappa Zukie In Dub is a great great dub album (though unaffordable on wax
