personally, i like a lot of latin music. but i don't like reggaeton nor a lack of meaningful statements behind lyrics. i guess i'd have to check out what artists you recommend...
Survival you are right. My recomendations are: DJ Playero 37, 38, 39, 40. DJ Eric Industry. The Noise 2, 3, 4, 5, 7.DJ Adams, Nico Canada, Guatauba wich have the best from PR with JA artist and last Boricua Guerrero with PR, JA artist and featurings of Busta Rymes, Nas, and big hip hop artist. This one have Yanke with Nas and is a must. After this mix tapes the music industry take over and harm the escense of the underground music now call Reggeton. What a shame!
i listen to reggaeton, tego calderon's album el subestimado(the underdog) is by far my favorite, more soulful beats than average and even a guest appearance from buju banton!
As monotonous sounding as reggaeton is, it satisfies a big niche demographic and affords a number of people an income. As long as people are dancing and not killing, i openly welcome whatever sound makes a person groove.
