"black ash dub" was the first dub album I heard... in a car coming back from holland (uh uh!). it turned me into dub music and then all jamaican music genres.

I'm not a sly and the revolutionaries fan but if I had to save one of their record, it would be this one.
you can find this record easily at low prices... at least in italy Euro 7.50 http://www.cdbox.it/scripts/scheda.asp? ... a=63034348

I dont think you can go far wrong with any of their dub albums.

For me thought

Revolutionary Sound 1 & 2
Satta Dub Strictly Roots
Musical Dub Attack
Revival Dub Roots Now
Reaction In Dub
Top Ranking Dub
Roots Man Dub

Don't forget Leggo Dub, now re-issued on HotPot with great bonus tracks on the CD version.

This is one of the wildest, wackiest dub LPs from the 1970s.

As for Musical Dub Attack, it is excellent but I'd be surprised if you can find a copy. And if you do, please tell me, I would really like to add that super-rare LP to the collection.

It's also worth remembering that the Revolutionaries are usually backing just about anything pre-1980. So lot's of King Tubby records, for instance, are also effectively Revolutionaries LPs too.
