I bought the above yesterday and have this morning been giving it a play.
I sat through 13 superb analogue roots tracks all from the 70`s and then it gets to track 14 and "bang", digital.
The last two tracks are both digital and just dont fit in context with the first 13 tracks, they are totaly misplaced..
My question is why have Summer Records used two mediocre digital tracks from the 80`s to cpomplete the disc when they have such a wonderful back catalogue of obscure roots materials from the mid - late 70`s from which they could have used.
I can only think they wanted to give a comlete overview of their output, but if that is the case why not have completed this one using only 70`s material and then compile a second compilaton of 80`s material.
Anyone give an answer (Summer Records) ??
