In my opinion these are the ones worth getting;

Mighty Diamonds-Deeper Roots:Back at the Channel
Prince Far I-Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Vol.1
Revolutionaries-Earthquake Dub

The first one being a fantastic vocal set with dub included and the last two being really crucial dub albums.

The Burning Spears I've either not heard or do not just think that very much of.

Culture I have heard unfortunately.

Revolutionaries-Earthquake Dub

Unmissable. Massive 70s dubs in the very best Revolutionaries Channel One style. Buy.

Mighty Diamonds-Deeper Roots:Back at the Channel.

This is a good LP but I would place the other two I am reviewing far above it. But if it's cheap enough, buy it. Although the original double LP (one vocal one dub in the same sleeve) is pretty easy to get - even in good shape - from ebay for next to nothing usually.

Prince Far I-Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Vol.1.

One of the very very best dub LPs of all time. Great riddims, brilliant effects and a strange, haunting atmosphere that isn't found in many other reggae dub LPs. This LP is probably one of my top ten dub favourites of all time. Buy.

Mighty Diamonds - Deeper Roots(Back to the Channel)

Great album, which deserves repeated listening and has dub companion which is also superb. Very soulful thing.

Prince Far I - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Vol.1 - as other Chapters is essential, because Prince Far I showed his best on all his dub albums with Chapter 1 being nearly the best. It's massive, great.

About Culture and Burning Spear - there are many other better albums of those artists...

I would not pass on that Culture LP.

Lots of new songs on it, I believe 'I Tried' might be the only remake. Recorded in 1996, it has a fresh roots sound to it - but don't take that to mean it sounds too slick.

Anytime an LP has more than 4 excellent songs, I say go for it - and you get more than 4 with this one: Tribal War, A Slice of Mt Zion, One Stone, Rastaman A Come, Satan Company. Mr Sluggard, Blood Ago Run, Get Them Soft, & Addis Abbba. Even the one non-dread tune is great 'Girls, Girls, Girls.

Right up there with the musicianship on this release is Joseph Hill's lyrical creativity and consistency.

I'm a huge fan of Burning Spear, even a lot of his 90s recordings. But I have to say, those 3 albums rank on the bottom of my list. "Our Music" is his most recent album, and I just don't dig the songs. "Living Dub Volume 4" is a dub version of Appointment with His Majesty, and in my opinion sounds much too slick. "The World Should Know" has some good songs on it, but to me the super cheesy production kills the otherwise solid material. All my humble opinions, of course.
