This has been an absolute favourite of mine since its orginal release. Now available again on CD (containing two rare 12" mixes) and on vinyl (original ten tracks).
Neverending thanks to Greensleeves for making this available again.
The hardest, darkest, moodiest roots record ever to come from the dancehall era, just before everything turned into slengteng.
And one of the last original Junjo productions before he left Jamaica.

P.S. I think that this may have been the most important thread posted to RA, I just want to thank everybody that throws out "What's on their turntable" as I often get my next purchase advice based on the comments.

OK, some more suggestions of solid gold reggae releases...

Last record last night before going out was:

Deep roots, massive vocals, brilliant backing tracks - it doesn't get much better than this. I love this LP and am very glad to have it here with me again. I had this when it first came out and as soon as I played it again I was transported back to the late 70s. PURE REGGAE MAGIC!

First one this morning is this massive dub attack from the Hitrun stable.

This record is effectively Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Chapter Zero. If you like the Cry Tuff Dubs - particularly the first two chapters - you'll adore this:

PETER TOSH - Equal Rights (Columbia AL-34670)

Right now hearing the timeless "Stepping Razor". Impossible not to remember the Rockers scene... Classic!

(Yes, it was a long time I didn't hear Tosh....) :)

Just played that. Gotta go out for an hour. Maybe when I get back I'll spin the dub version of it.
