New York has quite a reggae scene... if you're into Dancehall. If you're not, well, there is still things going on. It just depends on your taste. Ras Kush, Deadly Dragon, Version City, plus plenty of others play out quite often (usually once a week, at least once a month). If you can't find reggae in New York, you're just not looking. NYC is one of the reggae capitals of the world.

Sure ReggaeFire, I m not into Dancehall, at least the newer stuff. Ras Kush is a great DJ, but only once his thing once a month, Deadly Dragon had a dance with reggae artist once every two or three months (last Monday they had Johnny Osburne), and Version City are more into ska stuff. There are some dances in brooklyn, but nothing great. There is no shows here comparing for instance with California. Being NY, the place with the largest amount of Jamaicans in the US, there should be more dances and shows inna di area. I use Ras Adam's myspage page and Easy Star Records page as guide. Trust me, I live here since 1992, and there's no Reggae like the way it should be.
