A very young 58 years old. Been listening to reggae since first hearing Prince Buster's 'Al Capone's Guns Don't Hargue' at my school dance in 1965. Just retired after 32 years teaching Art & Design. Am now working part-time for the University of Plymouth teaching teachers to teach Art.

Rob,

Good to hear from you.

Are you going to reprint your Studio One Singles Listing & Rhythm Directory as mine is falling apart from over use?

Alternatively is there any chance of making it available as a web based searchable directory. I would certainly be willing to pay for access to that.

Regards

Well, the plan is to update the current Never Grow Old singles listing as a 5th edition. But how long that will take me to complete is anybody's guess.

Downbeat Special (the Studio One Album Discography) is already online, and being updated fairly regularly (although very slowly). Maybe when all the albums are online I will make the singles discography available in a similar format. But once the album and singles discographies become available online who will want to buy the books in order to subsidise my research?

I am a 19-year-old male from Finland, currently serving my civil duty by working at an elementary school. I found reggae at the age of 12-13, and that was it for me.

As years have passed by, I have gained certainity ever stronger and overstanding ever fuller; I now know that King's music is I life, as I life is singing Yanks & Ises and playing instruments cunningly unto the most hIgh RASTAFARI, for the glory of JAH God, King of kings and the LORD of lords, Conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah, His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I.

I actually have tried registering on this forum, but for some reason never received the reply e-mail, so whenever I feel I have something to say I just say it. I find it a great and unique thing that guests can post freely on this forum without complicated registration processes and whatnot.

Guidance everytime.

Quite a few of us are 47 then. I'm from the UK, most recently Sheffield. Full-time Civil Service employment helps to fund the part-time pub DJing that provides the enjoyment.
