VERSION EXCURSIONS

Post by Rootsman »

Following on from my recent "Shank I Sheck" thread. I have just had the pleasure to listen to this album.

[cover=1607,1863]

Although I am familiar with the "My Conversation" riddim and have several tracks I have never heard this album before. What a brilliant album it is, I have sat listening to this with the biggest possible grim on my face.

Is this not what Jamaican music it all about, music to put a smile on your face and portray to the listener the sense of fun of the Jamaican people.

Can anyone give me any further recommendations for other single riddim albums that are in this vein so that I can go on a nice long VERSION EXCURSION.

Thanks

Dave

[cover=2961,3388] This is a killer - just playing Tommy McCook - Mandela for the third time. Jahganja7, Book of Drifters is awesome.
