This might be a long shot, but... I've been really getting into the heavily reggae influenced postpunk bands, particularly The Slits and New Age Steppers (not so much reggae-influenced trad punk like The Clash, The Ruts or skapunk).
But thus far, the two bands mentioned above are the only ones I can find which actually have an audible and solid reggae influence. Are there other bands, from the punk/postpunk period or more recently, with a similar sound that anyone can recommend?

I`d thoroughly recommend " Tim Armstrong - A Poets Life ".This guy is the lead guitarist in the American punk band Rancid, normally.Don`t be put off by that.He is backed by The Aggrolites for this album, which is Ska/Two Tone type stuff.Full of energy, bounce and excitement and with a bonus DVD as well!Usually got quite cheaply, not that the music is bad, quite the opposite!Go on,take a gamble.

Aggrolites are great for sure !
Slits are very peculiar but I could give you some recommandations :
Old-school bands, you have Stiff Little Fingers, Nina Hagen, Camera Silens (french), Babylon Fighters (french), Bad Brains (US), Nuclear Device (french).
For new-school, check the Hellcat label (more or less Rancid label actually), I'm not aware of their last issues but I know they have plenty of bands with a reggae/ska feeling (I do not mean US skapunk).

oh I just got the meaning of your post. You can eliminate Camera Silens, Nuclear Device and Nina Hagen, too punk, not enough reggae
.
You can add a excellent band : [Inner Terrestrials](http://www.innerterrestrials.org.uk/), a UK-based band with great dub breaks over a furiously great punk.

The Slits were absolutely AWFUL live back in the day (but still great fun to watch), they couldn't play! So I wonder how much of the studio work was actually done by them...

There is of course the 70s punk band The Slabs, who's founding members are now playing in the MightyZ All Stars!

Big thanks all for the suggestions! And, @ ton1, I'm a huge Nina Hagen fan so you're definitely on the right track with your recommendations
