I HONESTLY BLACK SLATE IS BETTER THAN CULTURAL ROOTS BECUASE IF U NOTICE EVERY BLACK SLATE ALBUM HAS HEAVY ROOTS IN IT AND CULTURAL ROOTS DOES AS WELL BUT NOT AS MUCH AS BLACK SLATE I MEAN IM A BIG FAN OF CULTURAL ROOTS BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO THEM 2 I GOT TO GIVE IT UP TO BLACK SLATE.

yes dread,
Black Slate a rule...so much love for the sound I have nearly spun the life out of all my Black Slate LPs. I have been searching in vain to replace these with CDs. I live in the usa and cannot find anyone selling their sound. Any advice where to find these gems?

This thread makes me wonder if I should check Black Slate! Cultural Roots are simply superb and 'Revolutionary Sounds' has been a favourite of mine since it was released.

So I'm the Black slate fan N°1 bis , I love cultural roots but Black Slate is really n°1. I 've got all the LP,12" and 7" by BS, except one or two (as far I as Know) And I love Them All. My favorite reggae song (i mean among all) is BONDAGE & SLAVERY wich is so crucial, (match it with the dub version from Ogima LP). I fall in love with UK ROOTS with the song Reggae Regular - blackstarliner then I 've been buying a lot of vintage reggae from UK and until now Black Slate is my N°1 UK Band. I love the singing style of Keith Drummond.
BIG UP BS
