I have a white label Dub LP with a matrix number of COLP 2006 which I assume is on the Conflict Label.
Tapir's has it listed as "Rasta Dub 2000" on the following link:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~tapirs/colp.htm
The vocal cuts of some of the songs are on "Still In Love" by Hortense Ellis & Derrick Morgan which was released in 1977 (COLP 2005).
Does anyone know why "2000" is in the title. I've had it since 1985 and it was several years old then so it can't mean the year.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks
Rob

Re: Help Please - Rasta Dub - White Label Dub LP
just a guess, but after the release of these two
[cover=663,780][cover=1969,2324]
maybe they went for a title that suggests something different without calling it Rasta Dub 78
Anyway, this title has been around for over 30 years, nothing wrong with it.

that lp was a limited white labeled pressed album during the late 70's, from what i remember it had a plain sleeve with the words of the lp written on it. i had missed my chance picking it up at a local record store when pre-released dub lp's arrived fresh from jamaica almost every week or so.
