Re: Jack Ruby
"Jack Ruby, who reportedly had ties to the illegal drug trade, died in 1989 at the age of 49." JA Observer March 16, 2003.
I had read that he was in "poor health" when he died. I don't think he was murdered, but I could be mistaken.

Re: Jack Ruby
He dies in the spring of 1989, by a heart problems due to his cocaine addiction...it's a shame, 'cause Jack Ruby has done so much for reggae music,he works with artist like Burning Spear, Big Youth, Justin Hinds and the Dominoes, The Black Disciples, The Heptones, The Gaylads, Foundation, U Brown, Ken Boothe, Delroy Wilson, Prezident Brown, Frankie Paul, Junior Mervin, among others... he produce the succesfull album "marcus garvey" - burning spear...
I've heard that his friend Prez Brown wants to honour the producer with a special music tribute.
It's good to keep the memory of our important musical icons alive.
