One of my favotire reggae albums from years ago was Wailing Souls Wailing album. I have since purchased the CD release of this album Face the Devil.
Firstly, can anyone tell me why the CD release has got such a scattered play pattern where none of the dubs versions follow the vocal track, this doesn`t make sense and to a degree spoils some of the listening pleasure. Why could Trojan not have release this with the Dubs in the right place ?
Secondly, why stick three Viceroy tracks on the end to fill the play time of the CD, surely there are enough quality Wailing Souls tracks that could have been included to fill up the additional play time of the CD.
And finally, The Viceroys are and excellent group in there own right, to stick three of there tracks on the end of the Wailing Souls CD is an injustice to their talents. Surely Trojan could maybe release the We Must Unite album on a decent CD package and include the Jah Jah track as the other two tracks are already taken from that album. They could then use the extra play time of the CD to maybe include a few other Viceroy tracks that are no longer available.
Anyone out there with any comments, maybe someone from Trojan Records.
