clinch & jackpot are those labels i never made to read bout yet.
i know that jackpot was not a "underlabel" neither "clinch", so whats going on with that version

Read the story satta in interviews by Abyssinians.
And the Jackpot is the agrovators version.
Listen and you will hear.
Both versions are still around and re-release over and over again

Jackpot is Bunny Lee's label. Clinch is Abyssinians label.

Witnessed an Abbysinians stage show 2 weeks ago and gotta say I was blown away. 35 plus years in the biznezz and they still sound as fresh and vibrant. Glad I got to see them as those guys are getting on in age now I guess. If you get the chance dont pass it up.

The Abyssinians originally recorded Satta at Studio One, where it was held back and not released by C.S. Dodd. They later bought it from him and released it as I understand on their own Clinch label, releasing other versions of it, such as Satta Don at later dates.
The original 'proto' Satta, is a tune called Happy Land, by Carlton and the Shoes, this is a Studio one tune and can be found on a Bootleg Lp, that pre soul Jazz featured a grouping of superb Studio One produced Roots tunes (although pressed massively off centre).
I wasn't aware that the Abyssinians had recorded a vs. for Bunny Lee. I know that Johnny Clarke did a do over on an aggrovators version of the riddim, superbly chatted over by I-Roy. A massive tune!
I too saw the Abyssinians a couple of times in following years here in the UK only a couple of years back. They rate as the best Reggae act I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Their second gig only marred slightly by the inclusion of the old stalwart Dillinger... the old punks certainly enjoyed singing along to a limp version of 'Cocaine'.... gag.

I wonder about Jackpot still, i have a don carlos lp called "pure gold" with a jackpot label on the record & sleeve but what i hear is channel one, how come?
