song info

Post by Survival »

Hi, I've the Trojan Roots Box Set for a while now, but there are 2 songs, I would like some info about.

The Sons Of Selassie - I A Man African and
Mr Bojangles - Ten Dread Commandments

I can't find any info on these artists, or songs or whatsoever. Who knows something about them?

Maybe Niney is on backing vocals but lead singer is Max Romeo as SON OF SELASSIE.

If Bojangles is the DJ then he did the version to Culture's Two Sevens Clash repressed on Joe Gibbs 7".

[cover=1015,1172]
A quote from the liner notes:

"Bojangles was not a regular at High Note. He is actually better known for his work with Joe Gibbs where he cut 'Selassie I Cup' and 'Prophecy reveal' which was a version of Culture's 'Two Sevens Clash'. Culture probably brought him to High Note... Bojangles used to like horse racing and hung out at the race track."
