22 mysterious lps !!!

Post by dubdoudou »

Hi Everyone

I was asking myself a few questions about the following Lps.
I found these in Colin Larkin's Virgin Encyclopedia of Reggae.
First, do they really exist (as usual, there's the Junior Brown lp mystery)?
Second, can some knowledged people here give me further info please (tracklisting, producer, backing band, etc ..)?
Many thanks for feedback.

One Love

Half Pint : Can't You wait Till I Get You Home (Powerhouse 1984)

This one seems real odd though. Never heard tell of it.

i can´t really 100 procent confirm it´s existence, as i´ve never actually seen it ..but atleast the label and year for that half pint lp matches one i´ve seen on a few lists, with the title - can´t wait til i get you home. in case this album does indeed exist i have no doubt though that both the artists name and the title was inspired by frankie half pint jaxon and his tune - can´t you wait till you get home, recorded in chicago 1927.

A friend has the Al Brown LP but I'm sure it's earlier than 1978.

You can find tracklistings for the Johnny Clarke, Fabulous Five, Sheila Hylton and Sons Of Jah (including cover art for the last two) at Tapir's site.
