voice of progress
Does anyone know the group Voice of Progress. Me and my friend have been arguing that the lead singer for this group is junior reid, he says it's somebody else. I know its his voice especially in the song minibus driver. Can anyone confirm this please?. peace

Re: voice of progress
'voice of progress' was the name of a vocal trio that jr. reid had put together early in his career. I read in I think it was a david katz reggae book that Junior went solo after the mini bus driver lp release on negus roots because his backing vocalist were too inexperienced in the studio atmosphere. from what i remember on my mini bus driver lp it says on the back that these two singers had never been in the studio prior to this LP. IMO this group should have released at least one more LP with negus roots, but things happen as they do so we are just lucky to have any releases by the IMO legendary Voice Of Progress.oh and you can't leave out sly and robbie as well as the gladiators as backing bands contributing to this LP>
