Lyrics : new category in roots archives ??

Dear friends,

Wouldn't it be a great thing to have a new category in this site in which anyone could contribute to the establishment of our beloved roots albums' lyrics ?
I think it is a must and a great opportunity regarding the knowledge that can be found in such a forum.
GIve your opinion and please moderators, give your point of view too.

Good idea as long as the info on lyrics is correct!

There are sum tunes were i cant fathom what is being said and other times what i thought was being said was totally worng! Funny at times:)

True, but this would not be a problem if the site is well done. For example you could have "darko's proposal" or "benjamin's proposal" with underlined lines when not sure of the lyrics. Just as we do on the forum any time we exchange lyrics (cf Walls of Jerusalem" topic).
This would be evolutive and participative. And I don't think it would be over complicated to do for the roots archives webmaster. A simple link on the songs' title to a lyrics page containing different proposals and a space to enter your own proposal. A great new way for users to enrich this site. (because it is becoming harder and harder to contribute to the albums' listing !..)

I'd definitely like to see a lyrics category on this site. A lot of the time in my experience it's impossible to find lyrics to many roots songs, except (understandably) those which have some 'mainstream visibility'. A thought, though - roots lyrics can sometimes espouse some controversial messages...

Its absolutely great idea! I was looking for some older lyrics on web but wasnt able find many.. and as darko said not every word i hear in a song is really there

If somebody knows a link to site were lyrics like Talking love, Right on time, I want justice, Suzanne beware of the devil,... are, Id be gratefull for it
