New To Dub

I'm new to dub, so, I figured I'd get a quick crash course. So, I picked up all 3 Trojan dub box sets, and, King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown, which from arious threads I've read, seems to be tandhe greatest dub album of all time. I've just ordered Trojans Sly and Robbie Riddums double disc, and Dubwise vol 1@2, on Blood and Fire records. I figured these will keep me busy for a while. I'm sure these have probably been discussed before on the board, so, if someone could point me in the direction of the threads in which they were discussed, it would be much appreciated. As an aside, has there ever been a Bob Marley dub album?

Bob Marley's music is not good for dubbing since it is too pop. You need all of Scientist's releases on Greensleeves which you can get very easy and cheap on ebay and you need some King Tubby which is also easy and cheap on ebay. This plus the records you have already bought is imo the basics in dub. Wait with buying obscure albums until you have listened these through.

Bill Laswell re~tuned some Wailers tracks.
I have not heard them so can't comment.
The first "dubs" or proto dubs of the Wailers are the instrumental tracks LEE PERRY did.

I've just pointed a Bob Marley dub album to flyerfan54. And then I've decided to write that I disagree that Bob Marley music is too pop. His music is broadcasted in many mainstream radios, it's true, but not all his music. He's a roots reggae musician, not a pop artist.

All music is good for Dubbing, A good Duboligist could Dub any riddim out.
