So true, people will always favour their own.
History is always relayed to the youth of a country in a way that highlights only the favourable points.
I live in Australia and I grew up thinking CAPTAIN COOK was a hero!
The Japanese are vilified for the horrific things they did in Asia for 10 or 20 years, but we were/are never taught about the misery the British and other Europeans caused for HUNDREDS of years all over the planet!!
It is a typical human trait.
