Another symptom of a serious vinyl disorder:

You spend a lot of time on discography websites.

I've never bought an LP a second time by accident. There are a few I bought years ago for £1 or £2 and picked an extra copy of because they were so under-priced. Same goes for 12" singles. I have four of five copies of the occasional record that I've found selling for 25p or 50p.

I do have a bad habit of buying doubles of modern Jamaican 7" a second time completely by accident. I think it's because I usually buy them in bulk and forget that I have certain titles.

CD's I occasionally screw up on too. I normally have a couple of dozen still sitting in their shrinkwrap and if they're out of sight *and* unplayed sometimes the inevitable happens.

My worst habit is pertaining to this. Not all of the music I've yet to unwrap was even bought recently. I've been known to take a year or two to open some things! This must be about the worst "-itis" of all. Most of the other stuff described here sounds pretty normal to me! ;)

I have a similar condition. I'll buy an LP but WON'T play it until I get a chance to clean it on the Moth RCM.

If it ain't been cleaned, it don't get played.

And because cleaning them is such a chore, they sometimes get pretty stacked up waiting to get cleaned and then played.

So I've usually got between 10 and 50 records stacked waiting - often for up to 30 - 60 days after I bought them!

And then, after cleaning they go into another box for records that are cleaned but not played. They can hang around in there for a while too, especially if I fear the record isn't actually that good leaving me worried that once I play it I'll hate it and feel I've wasted my money (so why on earth did I buy it?)

Yep, this is madness for sure and no doctor can cure!
