The Government is actually fueling the Heroin problem here with their misguided methadone program. Methedone substitution has been proven ineffective and yet they continue it at huge cost to the taxpayer. The only reason for this can be because the pharma-biz is making so much money from it.
I have known many people on methadone and they simply use it to top up their habit. I've never known anyone to use this route to get off smack. The only person I have ever seen get off smack did it by sheer willpower. And willpower is something obviously lacking in most drug addicts.

yeah mon, theres a lot of misguided programs, misguided policys, misguided people... its really a sad thing, but a lot of those people are so near sighted, closed minded, thick headed individuals stuck in that same grove man, just cant ever see breakin out, doing things another way, unfortunatly i think the only way change is going to come about is after a few generations, let some of these older thinkers die off, then maybe change. maybe.

vinyl is better because of the sound quality. although some collectors can be a bit obsessive. i think the cd vs vinyl war is as old as the day cds first came out. all i know is reggae music sounds better on vinyl

Re: weird vinyl fixations
Talking of weird vinyl fixations,I have very recently moved my hi-fi to a different place in my front room.I now run my vinyl system through a passive pre-amp,via a phono stage, straight into my power amps.So now I have a PURE vinyl replay system, not connected in any way to my CD system. And the quality has gone up a notch or two!!Pain in the butt having to play CD`s,`cos I have to change the leads over to the power amps, but worth it for the gains in fidelity. And guess what ,I`m listening to my albums in a whole new dimension!

I mounted my turntable on the wall, off my old Victorian wooden floors which act like vibrators. And I to am listening to a new dimension of sound. Isolation of your deck away from all that speaker driven vibration is really important.

Cant help the way vinyl sounds better, in the war of perfect music and the perfect clarity something was lost and thats why vinyl is so good still, because people didnt try and make it perfect. It sounds how it is, sometimes its dark and sounds like a mic at a festival and sometimes it sounds as good as a studio recording. Either way as Manasseh used to say on kiss 'its rough and tough on the record'
