Jezreel -Great Jah Jah

Didn't want to take over the recent wackies thread but it got me thinking so I thought I'd just post to say how much I love this album. Great tracks and a great sound.
Anyone know any background on it or have any background on their other releases?

Dont know too much about the background but I agree the album is brilliant, one of my favorite Wackies.

The Rockers album imo is even better.

I'm with Rootsman here. After loving the Rockers LP for so many years I was quite disappointed with Great Jah Jah.

But there are also some killa 12s by Jezzreel.

Maybe I need to give this album some more playing time then. Or maybe the problem is hearing Rockers and getting so used to it before I ever heard Great Jah Jah

Wow. looks like I need to get a copy of Rockers. (Especially if it's even better than Great JahJah!) Another album on the long list I wish Wackies would reissue. Anyone seen it on sale recently?

I played Great Jah Jah last night. Apart from track one side one, I have to say I still MUCH prefer Rockers.

Love of My Life is by far the stand out track on that album. But its worth owning just for that on track. Especially as you can pick up the CD reissue pretty cheap.

If "Love of My Life" is the standout track on that album, I can't but wonder what on earth "Roman Soldiers" is. A crucial steppers tune; shame that there's no dub cut to it on the album though, only a dj version. A ruff one, at that, but still... Anyone know where to find the dub and whether it's available on CD format?

Also, "Sun Will Shine" is an awesome tune. In my opinion, both of these tunes are far superior to "Love of My Life".
