I have that LP somewhere. Before I go digging, what you want to know - sleeve notes or personal opinions on tunes?

Side A
1. Lajaune Williams - Love
2. Lajaune Williams - Sitting In The Park
3. Errol Shaw - Friday Evening
4. Hugo Brown - Jamaican Girls
5. Lajaune Williams - I'll Never Give Up

Side B
1. Ranking Joe - Hotter Claps
2. Barry Brown - Rasta, Man Of Dignity
3. Keith Coley - Baby
4. Keith Coley - Holding My Hand
5. Hugo Brown - She A Natch

It was recorded at Channel One and released in the UK through Jet Star in 1983. My copy cost £6 in Birmingham last year so there's a guide price for you.

All titles are credited to Martin & the singer except A2 which is an old soul number I think.

Musicians include Santa, Sly, Style Scott, Sticky, Skully (pretty much anyone whose name begins with 'S' then!), also Cedric Brooks, Deadly Headley, Ranchie, Gladdy Anderson & Ansel Collins. Maxie & Soljie were the engineers.

Musically it doesn't really hang together very well, in that it sounds like the backing tracks were recorded at different times over the years.

Barry's is probably the stand out tune and Ranking Joe's DJ cut is fine too. The rest of the tracks prompted responses like 'OK to average', 'pleasant enough' 'a bit bland' and 'smooooove' as I recall.

No - hang on a bit. Just bouncing the needle across the grooves right now and A5 is more of a rare Maxfield Avenue classic!

Hope that helps a bit.
