Black Foundation is wicked and has a 8 min. Pablo dub to close off the CD.
The African Dub Almighty series is available in doubles via Joe Gibbs Europe
so is more bang for ya buck !
and I do not have Pick A Dub.
Lick it back Selecta!

They are all equally good. My suggestion for such a well known
situation is, to write all album titles on small papers fold
them, mix them & then choose one blindly. 'African Chapters III &
IV' carry loads of sound effects.

Yes, African Dubs are probably the value option, and that is the biggest difference between them. Vols 1 & 2 are straight dubs without the cars, lavatories etc.

I was listening to Black Foundation Dub for the first time in ages last week and it has many familiar tunes on there - check the riddim sites and see if that helps you choose.

I'm not dissing Pick A Dub but I don't remember it making as much impression on me as the others.

I have all these dub albums and IMO you can't go wrong with any of them. I will say add them all to you collection if possible in the future.

IMO African Dub I never listen to it. I only have volume 1 & 2. The dubs are quite boring on those volumes.
A better Joe Gibbs dub set I found "No Bones for the Dogs" which features a lot more wild dubs.

"Pick A Dub" is essential, one of the most interesting reggae albums. The bass on it is very hard.

"Black Foundation Dub" I've never heard.

i think they are all worth getting. out of the african dub, my favorite is vol.3 (which might come with vol 4). it has plenty of killer d brown tunes off of visions. pick a dub is crucial and highly recommended. black foundation is IMO the weaker of the three, but still a KILLER dub set! i would suggest getting them all eventually if possible.
