Hey roots lovers !
I recently bought a reissue on black art label of two songs by Aisha Morrison. They come on an unusual format : 33rpm 7", with vocal&dub on each side. Here are the songs :
A side
Ethiopia
Dub To Ethiopia
B Side
Unity
Unity Dub

Both tunes are killers, i only had the occasion to listen to the dub version of the first one before.
So first : check it out if you like perry's sound as its top...
And second : The second tune doesn't sound like black ark studio at all, sounds like new UK roots or something (correct me if i'm wrong)... any info about this ? where & when has it been recorded, etc ?
Pluie.

Re: Aisha Morrison
It's Scratch's ex-wife apparently.
The Ethiopia song was previously released under the name of Carole Cole and you can hear the same rhythm on Winston Watson's Dispensation and Dillinger's Lion Rock.
Unity probably has nothing at all to do with Scratch but they tend to use the same label design for all those Black Art releases so it may have come pre-printed with the (wrong) studio credit.
