who else is a fan of this music? i think many reggae fans would like.

harold melvin and the bluenotes are my favorite, but i also like The Delfonics,MFSB, Blue Magic and some others

Yes! Classic soul is great and the Philly sound seems to be the sweetest.

Cool thread, staas. quite relevant too, flying cymbal was invented by santa davis as he jokingly played a take on MFSB's Sound of Philadelphia cut. The Philly Bump beat was what led to the flyers sensation...

PLEASE check out the compilation cd's "creme de la creme" on WB (imports) - volumes 1 and 2 for a great shot at some lesser known artists, as well as the spinners, major harris, bettye swan... great philly soul!
