Re: Reggae In Nigeria.
Some of nigerian music that I know is Majek Fashek as a solist or with his band The Mandators (they have a record edited by Makasound records called Power of the People).
Other nigerian singer is the MC African Simba who has participated in Sir Coxsone, Fatman y Jah Shaka soundsystems, and made a dj version of the Tena Stelin' song "Lion symbol" produced by Jah Warrior.
This isn't my favourit kind of music, but it's interesting to take a look!
There's others bands too, but this ones are the most representatives)
Hope you enjoy it Ras_gaks!

@Jah T. & Ben:
which language do the bands sing in English or French?
i rarely listen to Alpha Blondy coz of the languages he sings in, mostly french n his native language.

sonny okosun sings both in english and his own native langage. bishop (I think) sings in Englsih only or mainly. concerning alpha blondy, he also has some great tunes sung in english, check for instance the album Jerusalem with the wailers . songs like bloodshed in africa are amazing.
