it depends of the soundsystem line up... two guys can really set the dance on fire if they know how to rock the place.

in a dance, it's not about quantity of people on stage, it's about quality! as for rock groups, I've always preferd a few guys on stage than an army of dudes who seems embarassed to be there cos they've got nearly nothing to do or they don't know what to do...

once you're able to set up amps, equaliser, etc and you know your tunes and your mixer, skills make the difference.

when we have local clashes(roots,rub-a dub mostly),2 tables is a must for a dj (the music should never stop imho)while the crew of the dj is out on the floor with megaphone hyping it up and kickin new moves thats how they help the dj right on the floor with the people.theese get wild partys.This is our locol style ,no one round here is big name,big venue this is all pure amatuers with skills who love it.

Off a bit but seen a hip hop show last year with a crew of 8 dj all on their own deck.WOW,It was like hearing a symphony
every dj was well in tune with each other,it was amazing.

we had a hot sistas dancing crew on the dancefloor and it's maybe one of the best trick to keep people dancing!

I saw the hip hop in the 80`s when 1 scratching dj used 8 decks at once and then went on to 10 decks all used in his live mixing. The symphony of turntables.we all stood in amazement from the sounds coming out and the sight of it happening. Theres a dj with a lot to do.

its concious music(roots,rub-a-dub 75-85) caught up in todays world,when i say hyping i mean short and sweet chats on the megaphone like" jah music,jah love all people here - Listen up" just as a big message tune is being played .

Yes its a "dance hall" music although have you ever scene break moves or krump moves done to a heavy Spear song? thats whats happening,and somehow fitting perfect.

people are welcomed to wear the latest fashions and dressed to the 9's.nothing wrong with that,hopefully they just dont live for that.

fun times brings the young ones out to hear the ol vibes.
