Where do you guys buy your records? Where is top for Reggae? I buy most stuff from Sounds of the Universe. What are good ones would you recommend that deals strictly in Jamaican music?

Re: Record Shops in London
I've never been to Out on the floor, do they have medium prices ?
Because what I see from them on ebay is pretty expensive and I can't put so much money on one record.

Well ebay being ebay.
Its better going to the shop than ebay.
Music Temple Records in Brixton Market you will pick up some great gems old and not so new,One of them old time stylee shops.
Doing leg work going to the places is cheaper than ebay.

i agree with stepping razor, out on the floor is a nice little shop with a great selection, not pricey at all. they've got a good selection downstairs too. another shop i thought was quite good was 'cjs music specialist' in balham south london. if you make it to dub vendors clapham junction shop your not too far away. 2 stops on the train if i remember right. pity alltone closed its doors in brixton. excellent little shop too in its day.

Honest Jons in Portabella Road always has a great selection.
Sounds of the Universe off Berwick Street near the market also has some great tunes.
Sister Ray in Berwick Street is worth a view.
There are a couple of 2nd hand shops also in Berwick Street that carry a good selection.

Re: Record Shops in London
The 2 places that don't appear to have been mentioned and where I get a lot of my 2nd hand vinyl are;
Nudge - Hanbury Street E1
Spitalfield Record Fair - Old Spitalfields Market E1. The fair is now every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
That's if you are looking for 2nd hand vinyl, of course.
If 2nd hand vinyl isn't what you are looking for Honest Jons (as mentioned above by Rootsman Dave) is a *must-visit*.
Happy hunting.
