However, unlike many of my peers, I drive an old Toyota worth maybe 600 bucks. They all drive cars that cost them that in payments EACH MONTH.

Yes, some of us are disgustingly rich by third world standards. And it would be more pious of me to send all this money to aid the poor. But no, I don't think I'm going to stop buying reggae music because of that.
Some people I know are even spending amounts of money just on cigarettes that could support entire third world villages!
However, I did stop buying meat a long time ago when I realised it was the principle cause of world starvation and poverty and environmental destruction. The role of meat eating in all this is at least up there with war, if not far more so.
The world seems unfair but maybe we are all getting just exactly what we deserve?
