Darker Dub Albums...

Post by CarThief »

Hi,

I'm looking for some darker dub albums. A good example of the kind of music I'm looking for is the track "The Corpse Rises" off of Scientist's "Rids the World of the Curse of the Evil Vampires."

Any suggestions?

I've always thought this album was pretty "dark"... although that term is rather subjective when applied to music.

These are definitely deep and heavy dub albums i could think of so far:

[cover=2427,2796] [cover=2428,2797]
Make sure you purchase these two with this image cover and make sure it`s the Heartbeat label.Volume 1 can also be found on the Revolver label but make sure you get it with this cover image.Do not get their Original counterparts which are not as intense as these later mixes especially Volume 1.

NEXT is Alpha & Omega which are a slightly more modern group but do not let this change your mind because these are very heavy dubs with still holding on to the rastafarian approach.(tu)

ALPHA AND OMEGA:

>"Almighy Jah" (unfortunately very rare and hard to get but the dubs on this album are heavy)

>"Dub Philosphy" (Heavy dub)very expensive as well!

>"Watch and Pray plus Overstanding" (Easily available and the dubs here are heavy but try get hold of these two albums above as well of this group)

Well bro that`s all i can think of so far but there is no doubt that most of these albums would fall under your title of Dark dubs.:D

Peace out!(tu)

I read it was made as a soundtrack,but it never worked out. I can only imagine how psychedelic this movie would be:)
