the sweetest harmonies

Post by ital kemar »

ok, which harmony group would you favour, some nice trios/duos over the years, culture, israel vibration, congos, maytones and many many more. if you had to pick one who would it be and any recommendations as an example of their work.

Also Gladiators:
[cover=50,49][cover=48,47][cover=471,580]
I have only these, but I think I should get some more:)

Although, as I heard, it's the same thing as with Mighty Diamonds: man got to be careful, as some albums are rather weak...

siamenko dubs. ya like both the diamonds and gladiators too. the harmonies on trenchtown mix up are crucial.

Siemanko ital_kemar!

Harmonies on Trenchtown are great, I agree. I think I should mention Wailing Souls and Culture as well. I'm listening to Baldhead Bridge right now - superb harmonies as well...

Btw, what Gladiators can you recommend (on cd)???

I'm really fond of the Gladiators and other "country" trios.

Oh, and rock steady: Paragons, Uniques, Techniques, Melodians, Versatiles...

Oh, oh, and the Silvertones, Maytals ["Bla Bla Bla"!], Justin Hinds & the Dominoes ["Botheration"!], and....

[don't necessarily need to be sweet ya know]
