Matic 16 - Jahoviah

Post by adilisha »

Seems to be a big tune (goes for big money at least). I don't think I know it and would like to increase my knowledge. Can anybody help me out with a soundfile? Need not be the whole tune, snippet is enough. I've searched the web in vain ...

Hi,It pops up on ebay every few weeks and a lot of them have sound clips. Also check out http://www.popsike.com/ that has the history of records that sold on ebay.If you put matic 16 into the search engine for the bidding history.
The site is for the cost of records (of all music) and the going rate for a tune these days.
update:
Just found a mp3 sound clip,I think you should ignore the price the top end.
edit link to sound clip gone.

Peace

Give thanks!
At least I heard it now. Wicked tune indeed! Unfortunately my pockets are not deep enough for this.
Around 70 GBP seems to be the going rate now for tuff tunes like this one. I'm weeping ...

Well, for 35 GBP I would buy ...
When I see it, it is always expensive. Also in popsike, cheapest one was 50 GBP, which is beyond my limit already.
If you know where to get it cheap, enlighten me ...

Ises!

The cheapest ive seen it go for is between £30-£40 GBP.
Like with most other old good tunes they get re-issued or repressed, (and that will more than likely happen with the matic 16 tune at some point) some of them are as good as the original and some times better.
I think the Heptones-Everyday Life Obsercer 7" inch that came out last year was better than the originals. It depends if you want the original.Question is what original from first press to getting released and pressed in other countries, But to know the real first issue first press, you have to have a lot of knowledge about reggae music through the years.
There could be many many releases of one tune.

Peace

I don't care much about originals. What I want is tunes. Repress is just fine with me. So your word in some responsible peoples' ears that they give this one a treatment soon.

I suck at recognizing singers. So good info there. Up to now I was also not acquainted with Reggae Reggae Sauce. LOL. I guess it's more for the meat eaters ...
