Pressure Sounds Re-issues

Post by Rootsman »

A question,

Why have Pressure Sounds started re-issueing albums that have already only recently been reissued

http://www.pressure.co.uk/label/pressure_sounds/

Seems strange to me taking into considering their history of reissuing rare and obscure items that have been unavailable for years.

i like all the albums they sell, they sell good jamaican music!
brining back some old vibes that have been harder to find.
anyone who is into spreading the music we on this forum love so much deserves a big thumbs up in my eyes.
my favorite label, never been disappointed. and i proudly wear a couple of their shirts.

of course Ape, dem bring hard to find (an bright) stuff wat obviously nuh is eazy work wid it but mi tink dem nuh mek nuff effort an besides dem hav a likkle humble attitude. PS always hav been nuff far fram B&F. Mi nuh understand why so much people exalt PS - maybe becas really there´s few alternatives, yunno.

Mi stop buy PS stuff fram "Life Goes In Circles" compilation becas it was a big disappointment - drop wat overflow de cup, yunno. Really bad sound quality man!

Auralux seem to try really hard to get the sound quality as best as possible, given that master tapes are too rarely available.

Whereas too many re-issue labels simply shove on an old vinyl record on the deck and just record it to CD or new vinyl, complete with poor EQ, pops and crackles and even jumps! It was this very problem that first pushed me into collecting original pressings.
