George Allison "So Unusual" LP

Post by ephraim »

Hi. I spotted this album in a secondhand shop.
It is on the Gibbous label 1984. Jacket says
backed by High Times Band, recorded at Channel
One and Aquarius. As far as I know this is not
the same as the "Exclusive" LP which is the
only George Allison album listed on this site.
Any thoughts on this one?

George Allison was the lead singer on the original Studio One Ten To One, by the Madlads / HiLites, in the group with Ricky Grant and Delroy Williams.

Thanks for the feedback. Picked up the album today
and very happy with the purchase! Well crafted songs,
great dancehall riddims from Chinna & High Times Band,
sweet USA soul-inspired falsetto vocalist. The album has
a vibe very similar to Junior Murvin- Muggers in the
Street LP. Why have I never heard of this artist before? This album should be added to the archives!

I have read on other forums that George Allison is/was in fact "George Faith"
