S&G Label

Post by collieman »

Have they ever reissued this label or all we can find is stricly original from the golden period of reggae music..

I ask because i bought one 12" very cheap & it is as new . so i found either a reissue or a splendid original discomix.

never seen a reissue from S&G. I think that your 12'' is from the 80's!

There is Two Canadian pressed LPs from the 80s that turn up on ebay alot that if you put the two together you can turn out some of the great 12"s off that label.

2. Roman Stewart - Listen To Mommy & Daddy
3. Roman Stewart - Today
4. The Heptones - Come We Go Jamaica
5. Naggo Morris - Two Time Girl
6. Naggo Morris - False Rasta
7. Bobby Floyd - Falling In Love
8. Copie Copewell - Piece Of Action

Roots Radics - Roots Dub Style (Scorpio Label)

1. Roots Radics - Listen Dub (Listen To Mommy & Daddy)
2. Ranking Trevor - Singing Dub (Dj to D.Brown 'Created By The Father')
3. Roots Radics - Today Dub (Today)
4. Roots Radics - Two Time Dub (Two Time Girl)
5. Roots Radics - False Dub (False Rasta)
6. Roots Radics - Pice Dub (The World Has Begun)
7. Roots Radics - Falling Dub (Killer Horns Dub)
8. Unknown Dj - "Love not to brag & love not to boast so give thanks & praise itinuly when the chalice blaze" (opening lyric).

I got this vA 1 year ago , we can regognize the influence of noel sowell bailey in most of the tracks his guitar sound is really incredible we can recognize it everywhere it appears.
some riddims come in several albums like stranger cole "patriot" or gladstone Anderson "sing songs for today" this sowell is in most of Naggo Morris tunes with his guitar "woa woa" fantastic musician in fantastic tunes.
