Song ID

Post by Pluie »

Hey Roots archivers !

I'm looking for a few songs i've heard recently in a roots dance :

The first one's chorus is "african warrior" (rocker stepper style). Can't find any song called african warrior in the database...

The second one has backing voices chanting "roots... roots... roots... roots... roots... " in the intro and in the chorus.

The third one mentions "hard times" in the chorus (the song could be called hard time) and is sung by clear and high women's voice.

I know this is really few to find out these songs... thank you all !

Actually, I noticed 2 other tunes :
the first is well-known but I can't remember the name or the artist, it goes like "I'd like to know somebody else, I'd like to ???????? I'd like to ?????????" (male voice but quite high and sweet)

and the other has the words "jah jah children babylon" in the lyrics, heavy roots but I can't remember the riddim (I just wrote those words on my cellphone).
