What is point of crappy repress?

Post by no wanga gut »

I have heard many repress records with terrible sound quality, yet still produced at large quanity, seems a bit of a waste to me... can anyone share some insight on this topic?

yeah man, i cant afford to buy strictly originals...as much as i would like to...but all my represses sound fine and if they dont, i let ernieB know (becuase more than likely i bought them from him) and he replaces them at no extra charge. True Rasta!

Bingo...though not a great long-term plan as few will ever purchase any else you put out.

I've been fed up for years of cheap and lovelessly packaged products. It seems quality control isn't even a consideration, with records that clearly aren't pressed or mixed properly put out regardless. It's a case of put up or shut up.

It's as if they know you have a choice between a $100 original and a 14.99 repress.
