Hello.I have heared a tune in a radio show with tony srew (downbeat)and there is a tune which goes like.....get ready , to do rocksteady...
!Is it Clement Coxsone himself with jackie mittoo??I imperatively need the name of this tune!
perhaps somebody have some infos.thanks very much!!regards

there is also a later song with these lyrics, done by, I think a UK band at the time of the ska-revival in the late Seventies, called "do the rocksteady" by the Bodysnatchers, on TWO TONE.

The only tune by Alton Ellis featuring those lyrics that I know was produced by Duke Reid for Treasure Island (it s avalaible on the Alton Ellis anthology by Trojan or in the Rocksteady Three Cds Box Set, still by Trojan). I would very much like to know if he cut the same song for Coxsone
